The aspect Ratio, the standard widescreen of a television. 16 refers to the width and 9 refers to the height.
2. What is the frame size of a 1080p video file?
The frame size of a 1080p video is 1920X1080. 1920 refers to the width, 1080 refers to the height.
3. If you have a video file which is 720:50p what
is the frame rate and what does the p stand for?
The frame rate of the video is 50 frames per second. The p stands for progressive.
4. What is the difference between p and i?
P stands for progressive as written above, I stands for interlaced. Interlaced refreshes the page in lines on the screen, the pixels refresh every other line, the half of each frame is shown. Progression is when all of the pixels are refreshed in each frame.
5. What frame rate is real film shot at?

6. What might be the advantage of shooting at a
higher frame rate?
The footage/picture is clearer, there are more fps and it allows a smoother slow mo.
7. What defines a lossy file?
A lossy is a form of compression which sees certain footage which is repeatedly not being used and throws it away. The technology does this because it thinks the footage is not needed and to reduce file sizes.

editing?
Mp4, WMV, MOV
9. What is the difference between a video file type
and a codec?
Codec stands for coding/decoding. A file type is the container of information and a codec is the way that it is read or written.
10. What is bitrate?
The amount of information processes in a certain amount of time. Higher amounts/pixels meaning higher quality/detail
